For 30 years Glynis Morley has seen thousands of children pass through Bapchild’s Owl and the Pussycat Nursery.
First as a committee member for five years and then as an employee, the 58-year-old says she has loved her time there.
Now, a year after husband Michael retired, she is set to bid farewell to youngsters and colleagues on July 24.
The mother of two said: “I enjoy being with the children, playing with the children. I think every day is different, every child is different.”
Mrs Morley joined the nursery when sessions still took place in Bapchild village hall before moving to School Lane.
She added: “I think the best thing was when we moved into our new place. The children really enjoy themselves.
“We have our own garden and it is beautiful, and we have our own space so we can put up all the children’s pictures.”
She plans to spend her retirement relaxing and spending time with Michael.
