Fire crews launched a drone amid fears an accident victim had been thrown from their vehicle.

Police requested this following a two-car crash this morning which closed Sheppey Way in Bobbing, near Sittingbourne.

The fire service had been called as one the vehicles had gone up in flames – it is understood the air ambulance was also called.

A spokesman said the drone was launched at 10.05am over concerns someone had been ejected from one of the vehicles involved.

The pilots did not locate anyone in the area searched and the craft was stood down at 10.21am.

Police and ambulance have been approached for further details.
