Storage sheds at Bapchild farm shop damaged in fire

Police closed a section of the A2 tonight as firefighters battled a blaze at Bapchild farm shop.

Crews were called before 10pm to reports of a fire in storage sheds belonging the business opposite the Fox & Goose pub.

It is understood the flames did not reach the shop itself and nobody was injured in the incident.

Police blocked off Canterbury Road at the junction with Vincent Road in Sittingbourne and Fox Hill, Bapchild, near the pub.

The roadblock was removed about 10.30pm as fire crews remained on the scene.
