Drivers are still experiencing very slow traffic after two cars crashed this afternoon.

Police were called to the accident just after 4.30pm between junction 4 of the A278 at Gillingham and junction 5 of A249 at the Stockbury roundabout.

One lane had been blocked, but has since been reopened after one of the vehicles was recovered from the carriageway.

There were no injuries at the scene.
