Richard Holdsworth (pictured), the museum and heritage director at Chatham Historic Dockyard, is to become an MBE.

The director’s name appeared in the Queen’s birthday list and he will be given the honour for his services to heritage in Kent.

Allan George Sinclair, from Snodland, is also to become an MBE. His honour is for services to the funeral profession.

This year, golfer Nick Faldo and celebrity cook Delia Smith are among those to receive awards.
