THE driver of a Vauxhall Astra was taken to hospital with serious head injuries when he was in collison with a van.

The crash occurred at around 1.45pm on Friday in Grovehurst Avenue, Kemsley, near Sittingbourne.

The van driver s not thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries. Both men were taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital.

The road was closed as a recovery crew attended the scene to remove the damaged vehicles
