A broken-down car is causing rush hour chaos on the A249.

Motorists have reported one lane being closed on the Sittingbourne-bound carriage just after the Stockbury roundabout.

Speaking to KentOnline, one driver said: “There is a broken-down car on the A249.

“Police are there and they’ve closed it down to one lane.

“It is causing chaos and tailbacks onto the M2 coastbound Sittingbourne turn-off and back to the Medway Services.”

Police have been contacted for further information.
