A crane collapsed at a boat yard on Tuesday afternoon.

No-one was injured and no damage was caused to any boats at the Otterham Creek Boatyard in Upchurch.

This picture were taken by our photographer Mike Smith just after it happened.

John Bedwell, who lives near the river, contacted the Sittingbourne Messenger, saying: “I was just sitting in my garden and all of a sudden I saw the crane just topple over. It looked like the earth just gave way and the crane came down.”
