One lane blocked on M2 between junction 5 Sittingbourne and junction 4 Gillingham

Traffic is easing on the M2 after a crash which left one lane blocked.

It happened on the London-bound road at about 7.30am, between junction 5 for the Sittingbourne and junction 4 for Gillingham.

The second lane was blocked by the smash, thought to have involved two vans.

A police spokesman said: "Police are attending a report of a collision involving two vehicles on the London-bound carriageway of the M2 between junctions 5 and 4.

"Officers were called to the scene at 7.27am. No injuries have been reported.

"The vehicles have been moved from the carriageway and all lanes are open."
