THIS is the youth on a mountain bike who police are hunting after two indecent assaults on women in the Sittingbourne area. In both cases, the victims were approached by a teenager on a pedal cycle who sped away after carrying out the attacks.

The first incident occurred on September 29, when a teenage girl was assaulted in the alleyway between Charlotte Street and Burnham Close, Sittingbourne. The second attack happened ten days later in the churchyard at Holy Trinity Church in Green Porch Close, Milton Regis, where an older woman was the victim.

Police said in both cases the victims were unhurt but badly shocked and they believe the same youth is responsible.

The E-fit picture is based on a description given by the victim of the attack in the churchyard. The youth is described as white, aged between 15 and 16, about 5ft 4ins tall, slim build with brown untidy collar length hair and is said to have a spotted complexion and scarred face.
