Two women have been fined more than £600 each after pleading guilty to an attack in a town centre car park.
Michaela Ridden and Abigail Wise assaulted Jazmin Apps outside the Forum shopping centre in Station Road, Sittingbourne.
Ridden, of Recreation Way, Kemsley, and Wise, of Watson’s Hill, Sittingbourne, appeared at Maidstone magistrates last Monday.
The court heard Ms Apps was left with facial injuries following the incident at around 11.50pm on April 2.
The attackers were each ordered to pay £465, a £95 surcharge and £50 in compensation.
Ridden, 21, must also complete 216 hours of unpaid supervised work and Wise, 22, must complete 144 hours.
They'd originally denied the charge when they appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court in May.
Prosecutor Andrew Jones said: "There was a chance meeting and an exchange of words and then the victim was assaulted.
"She was repeatedly punched, pulled to the ground and further punches followed."
He said the victim had been a previous acquaintance but the defendants denied this and claimed they had to "extricate themselves" from the situation.
