Firefighters tackle static caravan blaze in Hartlip near Sittingbourne

Two fire engines were sent to a blaze in a static caravan.

The fire started at about 7.50pm last night at an address in Matts Hill Road, Hartlip, near Sittingbourne.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire in the bedroom area, using a high-pressure hose reel jet and a covering jet.

An electrical safety engineer from UK Power Networks had to be called to cut off the power supply.

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause has not yet been confirmed.

The fire was out by 9pm.
