Flash mob stuns town shoppers

Shoppers stopped in amazement and watched with open mouths as a group of people suddenly broke in to a dance routine in the middle of Sittingbourne High Street.
The five-minute flash mob took place between NatWest bank and Nationwide Building Society at 1pm on Saturday.
A flash mob is where a group of people make themselves look like a nonchalant crowd in a public place, but suddenly burst into a pre-arranged song or dance routine.
A total of 30 people agreed to take part in the event, which was the brainchild of Sammie Searle who runs Sammie Fit Pop Dance.
In preparation for it, the volunteers attended two dance rehearsals at the Carmel Hall in Ufton Lane, Sittingbourne, before bopping away on the day to five songs in front of the unsuspecting crowd.
Among the tracks played were Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger and Lady GaGa’s Born This Way.
People cheered and clapped the group throughout their performance.
