A pet care store in Sittingbourne has raised £3,050 for charity.

Luke Rouse, financial director of Unipet, in Tribune Drive, and his friend Dean Hooker, made up the Mauritian Beach Boys team to take part in the Martha Trust’s 2014 car challenge - Monte Carlo Madness.

Nine groups took part in a four-day adventure in September where they travelled over 1,300km in convoy from Tesco Whitfield in Dover, across the Channel to Monte Carlo, in cars worth no more than £200, to raise money for the charity.

Several cars were scrapped when they arrived in Monte Carlo to raise more money.

Martha Trust supports young people and adults with disabilities in Deal and Hastings, as well as giving advice to families and carers.
