It seems Batman has traded in his dingy cave and set up home in Sittingbourne.

The caped crusader made his presence known to Sonora Fields resident Dawn Denham after she lost her driving licence.

While some may have thought about ‘Robin’ her of it, the Dark Knight decided to return it to her by posting it through the letterbox of her home with a note attached.

At the end of the message was a drawing of himself.

It said: “Found this on the bridge leading to Bobbing. Thought you might want it back - Batman”

The photocard was lost on July 20, some time between 7pm and 7.30pm.

The 32-year-old, who works as a marketing co-ordinator, said: “It was on the doormat when my partner Jamie got up to go for work at 7am the following day.

“He asked me if I had lost my driver’s licence. I said I didn’t think so, thinking to myself ‘why is he asking me this’, but then I remembered putting the licence into my phone the previous evening when I went for my walk and thought maybe it had fallen out downstairs.

“Then he came upstairs with my licence with the note taped to it, and said it was on the doormat.

“I hadn’t realised I had lost it so I was surprised that someone had been so thoughtful and bothered to return it to me.

“It reminded me that there are some caring and thoughtful people out there. I’m really thankful for what they did, and humbled by the fact they took time out from whatever they were doing to return it to me.”

It is not known who the masked hero is. Miss Denham added: “To whoever Batman is, I’d like to say, thank you for being so kind, when it would have been so easy to have ignored it sitting on the floor.”
