Homes in Sittingbourne, Milton, Murston and Hartlip targeted by thieves

An invalid car and scooter were among items stolen during a burglary in Kemsley.

It happened in Beauvoir Drive overnight between June 20-21. Reference number XY/021949/14.

For the last 19 months more than 630 burglaries and attempted break-ins across Sittingbourne have been brought to this newspaper’s attention.

The latest incidents are as follows:

Between June 2 and 16, several power tools were stolen from a back garden shed in Bexon Lane, Bredgar – XY/021306/14.

Three sheds burgled in Vigo Lane, Borden, between June 16- to 17 – XY/021569/14.

A bicycle stolen from a garden shed in Roberts Close, Milton Regis, between 2am and 3am on June 15 – XY/021349/14.

Just after 8am on Sunday, June 22, a motorcycle was stolen from a domestic garage in Wentworth Drive, Sittingbourne – XY/022071/14.

Several toiletry items taken through an open bathroom window in Peregrine Drive, Sittingbourne, between June 19 and 20 – XY/021825/14.

A spate of break-ins have happened in the Walderslade area of Chatham.

Between June 15 and 19, garages in Lydbrook Close, Sittingbourne, were broken into and items stolen – XY/021643/14.

Two bicycles were swiped from a garden shed in School Lane, Bapchild, between June 19 and 20 – XY/021830/14.

A pressure washer was stolen from an outbuilding in Shakespeare Road, Murston, between June 18 and 19 – XY/021879/14.

There was a break-in at Pacific Traders Ltd, Spade Lane, Hartlip, overnight between June 16 and 17 – XY/021389/14.

A burglary in Thistle Walk, Murston, during the early hours of June 22 – XY/022100/14.

Two bicycles and a tool box were stolen from a domestic garage in Broom Road, Murston, overnight between June 20 and 21 – XY/021935/14.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting the reference number.
