A 39-year-old man is in custody after witnesses reported seeing someone wielding a knife in Sittingbourne.
Police were called to Regis Crescent in the town at 6pm last night following "reports of concern for a man".
When officers arrived the man refused to come out of the house. At 8pm he left, and was taken to hospital for treatment.
But when he was discharged he was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. He is still in custody.
