Sittingbourne man charged with robbery after man in 60s pushed to the ground in alleyway

A man will appear in court after a man in his 60s was pushed to the floor and robbed.

Alfie Chambers, 60, is accused of pushing the man to the floor in an alleyway near South Avenue and Peregrine Drive, Sittingbourne, and taking his banks cards and £100 cash on Monday at around 1.20pm.

Chambers, of Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne, was later arrested and charged with robbery following an investigation from Kent Police.

He will appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.

The victim did not have any serious injures following the incident.
