Murston man Toby Earnshaw charged with string of driving offences after police chase in Sittingbourne

A man has been charged with a series of driving offences after a police chase in Sittingbourne yesterday.

Toby Earnshaw-Glazier, of Eagles Close, Murston, is accused of dangerous driving and trespassing near a railway line.

The 20-year-old has also been charged with driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance and failing to stop for a police officer.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

He was arrested and charged after a blue BMW failed to stop for officers in Sittingbourne at about midday yesterday.

If followed a "short pursuit" involving a police helicopter.

The car stopped just behind the High Street and the driver fled the vehicle on foot and headed towards the railway line.

Earnshaw-Glazier is on bail and due to appear before magistrates on Monday, September 22.
