Johnny Brazil denies attempted murder after Remembrance Day stabbing in Rushenden

A boxer has denied attempted murder after another man suffered about 26 stab wounds on Sheppey.

Johnny Brazil also denied an alternative charge of wounding 24-year-old Ryan Abbott with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Mr Abbott, from Iwade, was airlifted to a London hospital for emergency surgery after an incident in Manor Road, Rushenden, on Remembrance Sunday, November 11.

Brazil, of Barrow Grove, Sittingbourne, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court by video link with Lewes Prison in East Sussex.

The 22-year-old former Westlands School pupil, who boxes as a light heavyweight, will stand trial on June 3. He was remanded in custody.
