Two charities were given £500 each after a village’s naked calendar sold out.
People as far away as America ordered copies of the 2019 Iwade Naked Calendar and the news about the village men and women baring nearly all for charity went worldwide.
The cheeky calendar showcased more than 24 people from businesses in the village.
The models, snapped either at work or enjoying their hobbies, included a gardener, dog groomer, personal trainer and mechanics.
Laura Cheeseman, who came up with the idea, said she was thrilled to be able to hand over the takings to worthy causes.
She added: “Swale Cats Protection desperately needed new cages for rescue cats, as they had so many waiting, but the money has allowed them to get some, and Demelza gave us a tour and explained how much they relied on charity money.
“It suddenly hit me when I was handing the money over that ‘we’ve done a good thing here’ – we actually made a difference.”
A total of £1,100 was raised, with £500 handed over to both Demelza Hospice Care for Children in Bobbing and Swale Cats Protection. The rest will be given to Iwade church.
Plans are already underway for a 2020 Iwade Naked Calendar.
