Traffic was queuing on the M2 London-bound stretching back to Junction 6 for Faversham as a result.

Also, a broken down lorry blocked one lane heading coastbound between Junction 4 for Gillingham and Junction 5.

The vehicle came to a stop after crashing with a car at about 7.11am, which has stopped on the hard shoulder.

No injuries have been reported and the HGV has since been moved to the hard shoulder.
