THE Mayor of Swale, Cllr Brenda Hammond, has picked up a parking ticket on her new civic car...and before she had even sat in it.

The car was parked outside Swale House, in East Street, Sittingbourne, while the keys were being handed over to the chauffeur.

But when the chauffeur came out to park in the council's car park, he found a £60 fine had been slapped on it.
