A pervert who filmed up the skirts of schoolgirls on streets and in supermarkets in Sittingbourne has now admitted sex abuse of girls and possessing indecent images of children.

Medway magistrates committed Richard Ferguson-Robe, 25, to Maidstone Crown Court for sentence earlier this month after he pleaded guilty to four offences of outraging public decency and one of possessing indecent images.

Ferguson-Robe of Dalewood, Sittingbourne, filmed unsuspecting girls in May, June and September last year.

Earlier today, he admitted three offences of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity with girls aged 14 and 15 between October 2010 and December 2012, two of making indecent photographs of a child and four of possessing indecent photographs of a child.

Applying for a pre-sentence report, John Fitzgerald, defending, conceded the custody threshold was “well and truly passed”.

The court, he said, was duty bound to consider whether Ferguson-Robe, was a dangerous offender.

“I ask for a report to assist the court as to why the offences were committed and whether he would be suitable for the Thames Valley sex offender programme,” he told Judge Martin Joy.

“He has no history of psychiatric illness. He is in custody.”

Adjourning sentence for four weeks, the judge told Ferguson-Robe: “The court is required by law to seek an assessment of the danger you pose and I order a report for that purpose.

“You must understand that by adjourning for a report it is not an indication of the nature of the sentence. A custodial sentence would appear to be inevitable.”
