A motorist fed up with roadworks in a village was caught on dash-cam running temporary red lights.
The Peugeot driver was filmed overtaking a stationary vehicle in order to skip the queues along the A2, London Road in Teynham.
Openreach has been conducting maintenance works in the village since Monday, September 11, and is due to pack up on Friday.
It was today, shortly before 10am that a driver travelling through the parish caught the “impatient” driver cutting through the lights.
He said: “It didn't bother me too much but it's just dangerous.
“They did that all because they can't be bothered to wait a few minutes.”
The footage was shared on Facebook with commenters divided on the motorist's decision to run the light.
One person said: “Mate who cares everyone does it all the time.” Another added: “I do this all the time, people stop far too early at yellow lights.”
But others weren’t as impressed with the driver’s maneuver. A woman commented: “Accident waiting to happen. I’d send the video to the police.”
Someone else added: “Had this happen to me the other day heading to Leysdown.
“Stopped at a red traffic light and a BMW overtook me and ran a red light.”
Despite some commenters suggesting running a temporary red light is OK if you can see ahead, the Highway Code UK website states you must obey all traffic light signals and traffic signs giving orders – this includes temporary signals and signs.
