The is the moment a young man was talked down from a Sittingbourne roof after a stand-off with police today.

He is pictured being led away from Albany Road after the four-hour dispute with officers.

Barefoot and wearing a t-shirt and shorts in the rain, he was seen being led to the ground in a turntable ladder with a firefighter this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene at 8.50am and tried to talk him down from a roof.

Officers closed the road between Valenciennes Road and Connaught Road during the negotiations.

The young man was talked down from the roof at about 1pm and the road reopened soon after.
