The new members of Kent Youth County Council

Hard work and dedication is what is needed from two youngsters now they have been voted onto the Kent Youth County Council.

Two of the six Sittingbourne candidates who were standing found out they had been accepted onto the council when the results were announced at County Hall in Maidstone on Saturday.

The KYCC allows members to work closely with Kent County Council to inform them of young people’s issues and concerns.

Thousands of youngsters from around the county voted in the elections at 168 polling stations.
