Part of the A249 was partially blocked after a crash.

The accident, involving one car, happened on the Sheppey-bound carriageway, near the turn-off for Key Street roundabout and Bobbing.

Police were called at 3.10pm and, two hours later, officers were still at the scene.

A spokesman said a lane was closed while vehicle recovery was being arranged.

He added that no one was injured.

Traffic had been queueing back to the Stockbury roundabout as a result of the crash.

Police said it had all cleared by 6.30pm.
