An author, who hopes to help others growing up with drug-addict parents, has announced book-signing dates.

Veronica Cook will be signing copies of Veronica, Hidden Harm in WHSmith in Gillingham High Street on Saturday, and WHSmith Sittingbourne on Saturday, May 20.

The book details her story to inspire people in similar situations. Mrs Cook, who lives off Borden Lane in Sittingbourne, wrote it after the death of her mum from liver cancer in 2012, which she contracted through her heroin addiction.

The book details Mrs Cook’s memories of living in London squats, her attempts to get away and experiences including being beaten up by a gang.

Veronica, Hidden Harm is available from Blackwell’s and publisher Austin Macauley, and can be ordered from WHSmith and Waterstones.
