Sittingbourne man Stephen Curry appears in court after man stabbed in Romney Court

A man has appeared in court after another man was stabbed at a property in the town.

Stephen Curry, 28, was arrested after the incident in Romney Court, Sittingbourne, at around 9.55pm on Thursday.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was allegedly assaulted by someone known to him at the address before being taken to a London hospital.

He has since been discharged.

On Friday, Curry, of Knightsfield Road, Sittingbourne, was charged with wounding with intent and with possessing a knife in a public place.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, September 19.
