Trains are being disrupted due to a fire next to the tracks in Sittingbourne.
Southeastern confirmed services came to a halt as a result of the blaze, which broke out at around 7.20pm.
Officials say the fire has since been put out, but trains were held whilst it was dealt with.
Trains running to and from Sheerness were initially cancelled and services between London St Pancras and Ramsgate/Faversham and between London Victoria and Dover Priory have also been affected.
Meanwhile, Network Rail says a signalling problem on the Maidstone East line means there will be delays and alterations to services tonight.
Passengers travelling from London to Kent have already been facing disruption after a man was spotted on top of a bridge at Chatham Train Station.
