Firefighters from the Sittingbourne station were initially called as the car was smoking but when they arrived they assisted with first aid and making the area safe.

The two occupants, thought to be 29 and 34, were both taken by ambulance to hospital.

It is believed one of them had suffered a severe head injury while the other a serious shoulder injury.
