Two due in court charged with conspiracy to steal and having criminal property after raid in Spade Lane, Hartlip

Two people have been charged after police raided a property near Sittingbourne.

Detectives investigating multiple thefts of stolen cars, vans and caravans in Kent carried out a search warrant in Spade Lane, Hartlip, yesterday.

Officers seized two vehicles thought to be stolen and £30,000.

Martin Ward, of Goudhurst Road, Gillingham, and Owen Maughan, of Spade Lane, were charged with conspiracy to steal motor vehicles and possession of criminal property.

The pair, 46 and 42, were due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
