Two women drivers were involved in an accident in Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne.

It happened before the railway bridge just after 7.45am today. A Ford Fiesta and Mercedes were involved.

Police and ambulance were also called to the scene.

Traffic coming from the Staplehurst Road area was diverted along Wellwinch Road and motorists travelling from London Road along Hawthorn Road.

The road was clear by 8.20am.
