A group of around 60 ex-service personnel and family members paid their respects to Battle of Britain pilot Roy Marchand.
A memorial service was held at a Teynham farm on Sunday.
Organised by the Faversham branch of the Royal Air Force Association, the service was conducted by Teynham vicar Rev Steve Lillicrap at Nouds Farm.
It is 25 years since a memorial was sited close to where the 21-year-old officer fatally crashed in his Hurricane at midday on September 15, 1940.
Among those attending were Roy Marchand’s grandson Michael Ventura and his wife Caroline.
They were joined by the Deputy Mayors of Swale, Cllr Trevor Fentiman and Faversham, Cllr Mrs Anita Walker.
Reg Tumber, chairman of Faversham RAFA said: “It was a very pleasant occasion and I’m delighted there were so many people including the Faversham Air Training Corps who carried our standard for us as well as their own.”
