Bottles of water are to be handed out to residents after a mains pipe burst.
Southern Water is dealing with the incident in Sittingbourne where some people are without water supply.
The burst pipe is thought to supply water to around 2,000 properties.
Southern Water has now re-routed another pipe, meaning the issue should now be resolved in "most homes".
But it was delivering bottled water this morning to some elderly and vulnerable residents who are still without a supply.
Shortly after 10am, the firm said: "We are continuing to work on a burst in the Sittingbourne area and apologise to customers in some ME8, ME9 and ME10 areas who may be experiencing low pressure or loss of supply.
"We have re-routed the network and most homes should now have water again.
"We will be delivering bottled water to those on the Priority Service Register in the next few hours.
"If you or anyone you know needs support please call 0330 3030368."
One Twitter user named Rachel Rook said she still had "very low pressure" at her home in the ME9 area.
