Two teenagers from Milton Regis Bowls Club were part of the England under-18 Test series squad that narrowly lost to Scotland last week.

Seventeen-year-olds Kim Modell and Jody Clinch were successful in their games but England lost a nailbiting final which was decided on the last end of the series.

The match was played in Carlisle over a two-day period and Scotland won 18-16.

Both girls are sixth formers at The Westlands School in Sittingbourne and will now start bowling indoor for Swale IBC.
