Street dance sensations Twist and Pulse held a workshop in Sittingbourne at the weekend.
The duo, aka Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy, taught youngsters a series of outrageously cool moves during Saturday’s session at the High Street snooker club.
Practitioners of streetomedy – a hybrid of street comedy and dance – the couple were runners-up in the 2010 Britain’s Got Talent series.
Their visit was organised by Dudes and Divas Dance, a Sittingbourne-based club run by Carla Hazell.
She said about 70 students aged between five and 17 attended the workshop, which, she added, was “fantastic” and “brilliant”.
“The kids blew my mind,” she said. “They were so well behaved and they picked up the moves really quickly. The idea was to give them some experience of learning from someone famous off the telly.
“I opened it up to all local dance schools and quite a few children who came had learning and emotional difficulties.
“The Twist and Pulse boys were fantastic and the children can’t wait for the next workshop. We’ll definitely be inviting Ashley and Glen back.”
