Drivers have been caught up in delays on a motorway after a crash involving three vehicles.

Traffic has been building on the M2 coastbound carriageway, between J6 (Faversham) and J7 (Canterbury).

One of the vehicles is believed to have aquaplaned and is facing the wrong way.

A further two cars are reported to have been involved in the collision.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “We were called at 10.26am to the M2 between junctions 6 and 7, coastbound, following reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

“No injuries have been reported.

“Traffic is being temporarily being held while the vehicles are being moved to the hard shoulder.”
