The car carried on and hit a lamppost because of the force of the impact.

The crash happened just after 2pm and threatened to disrupt motorists on their way home this evening.

An ambulance was also called.

Police cordoned off part of the roundabout where it joined the London bound A2 at Keycol Hill and the Old Maidstone Road.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 2.10pm to reports of a collision between two cars on Keycol Hill, Bobbing, Sittingbourne.
