A village road is closed after a car crashed into a telegraph pole.

The car collided with the pole in Pond Farm Road, Borden, at about 7.30am.

Police said no serious injuries had been reported, but the road had been blocked by the accident.

"Officers have enforced a closure to ensure public safety", a spokesman said.

He added BT had been made aware of the damaged pole and engineers were en-route.
