A car was recovered from a hedge this morning following an accident.

Emergency services went to the junction of Tunstall Road and Hearts Delight Road, Tunstall, at around 11am.

It is unclear how the vehicle rolled off the road, but no other cars are thought to have been involved.

A police spokesman said: "A person called us after they came across the car that was in a hedge and damaged.

"We have tracked down the driver, who has arranged for the vehicle to be recovered."

The male driver was unhurt.
