A car flipped onto its roof in a crash on the London-bound M2.

The black car overturned between junction 5 for Sittingbourne and 6 for Faversham just before midday.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 11.48am.

A SECamb spokesman said: "Ambulance crews in a car and two ambulances attended the scene and two women were assessed and treated before being taken as priority patients into William Harvey Hospital."

The car was moved to the hard shoulder, and has since been taken away.

No lanes were blocked but traffic was slow in the area.
