Police are calling for witnesses after a suspected arson attack destroyed two cars.

The vehicles were parked in a lay-by off Tunstall Road, Tunstall, were set alight around 5am on Friday.

A man was reportedly seen walking in the area prior to the fire holding a petrol can.

Officers are asking asking anyone with information to call 01622 604100, quoting crime reference XY/53537/18, or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
