CCTV images released following 'sexual assault' in East Street, Sittingbourne

Police say they are no longer appealing for information about an alleged sexual assault following the release of CCTV images.

They published photos of a man they wanted to interview yesterday (Thursday) but said today: "We are no longer appealing to identify the man in the picture.

"At present, no arrests have been made. However, our officers are satisfied they now have sufficient information to progress with their enquiries."

Detectives are investigating a report of a woman who says she was inappropriately touched in Sittingbourne.

The victim reported she was touched above her clothing while she walked in East Street at around 3.30pm on Sunday, January 16.
