A marathon dance session raised hundreds of pounds for a children’s charity.
Sharon Austin, of Quinton Road, Sittingbourne, held a bokwathon to support Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
The fundraiser saw 48 people completing two hours of the dance-based fitness activity which takes its name from a combination of the words boxing and kwaito.
It took place at Bobbing village hall at the end of June with the mum-of-two handing over the £500 it raised last Tuesday.
Mrs Austin, who runs Quinton Stores with her husband Julian, has been teaching bokwa since discovering the craze nearly three years ago.
“At the moment I still have to explain to everyone what bokwa is so it would be lovely if it took off a bit more,” the 48-year-old said.
“It’s for anybody to try – you don’t need any previous experience – if you can move you can bokwa.”

Demelza’s community fundraiser HannahShotton said: “There was a great atmosphere at the bokwathon – it was great fun.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who took part and of course to Sharon for organising it.
“It raised a fantastic amount of money.”
Mrs Austin’s class is held every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm at Bobbing village hall.
It’s free for the first time to try out and £4 every week afterwards.
