A charity golf day is being organised to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital.
The day will be held at Upchurch River Valley Golf Course near Sittingbourne on Wednesday July 2.
The event is being organised by George Aston as a means of raising funds for equipment and research into cancer, in particular prostate cancer.
This results from his own treatment at the hospital over the past seven years following his diagnosis with a highly aggressive form of the disease.
There will be a maximum of 100 golfers playing on the day, which will include on course competitions, a raffle and an auction.
The cost will be £50 and will include a full English breakfast, 18 holes of golf, a three course meal after the game and a £15 contribution to the charity fund.
Sponsorship of individual holes is also available
George, who lives in Hempsted Valley, said "I am so appreciative of the skill of the doctors and the care and advice I have received from all the staff that I really feel the need to put something back as recognition of their efforts.
"I have been staggered by the tremendous support from friends, local and national businesses that I am sure it will be a day to remember."
