St Giles Church in Tonge is to open its doors on Saturday for people affected by the murder of local businessman Steve Langley.
The Church Road place of worship will be available between 9am and 2pm for anybody who wishes to go along.
Speaking on behalf of the parish, Reverend George Rogers and Reverend Lesley Jones have released a statement.
It says: "Following the tragic death of Mr Langley, and in consultation with his family, St Giles Church, will be open for anyone who would like to light a candle, leave a message of condolence, pray or simply find space to reflect.
"All are welcome to visit the church on Saturday.”
The 56-year-old died last Friday after being shot in the stomach at Bax Farm Fisheries in nearby Lower Road.
Simon Olsen, 54, who has been charged with murder, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday where he was remanded in custody ahead of a trial, likely to be in April.
