A spokesman for National Highways said: “Our overnight closure of the southbound A249 between the Key Street junction and Stockbury Roundabout planned for Wednesday, December 6 has been postponed.”

The work due to have been carried out is part of the £92 million revamp of the Stockbury Roundabout.

The latest postponement comes after a three-day closure of the A249 for resurfacing works was cancelled.

It was meant to be in place from 8pm on Friday, November 24, until 5am on Monday, November 27.

A new date for the resurfacing work has yet to be scheduled.
