Kent Highways is warning residents of roadworks taking place this evening.

Resurfacing works will close a section of Park Road, Sittingbourne, between Albany Road and the High Street.

They will take place between 7pm and 2am.

Diversions will be in place.

However, delays are expected and bus services are likely to be affected.

Alternative diversion routes will be signed while the road is closed using Gore Court Road, Bell Road or A2 West Street, A2 Dover Street, A2 St Michaels Road, Crown Quay Lane and Bell Road.

The footways will remain open at all times.
